Frank, I was an advisor to the Chapter Operations I Committee and they
sent that piece of legislation to the floor.

Many chapters have Alumni in the area that they call advisors, and
these advisors are not currently "counted" on the AAMD (as a
requirement). One wording choice the committee tossed around was
"Alumni or Community Advisor" before deciding that that was redundant.

Basically, a community advisor is anyone from the community, including
but not limited to: local Alumni, professors or staff at the college
or university, scouting or youth services liaisons, and basically
anyone else from the community that the chapter uses as a resource.

In other words, if your chapter already has one scouting advisor and 3
faculty advisors, you're still in compliance with the legislation.

Hope that makes sense!
