Brothers:
As a prospective member of Alpha Phi Omega and one of the students on the
cutting edge of Internet broadcasting at the University of Evansville, the
feasibility of such a webcam, regardless of it's location at the National
Convention is very real. In the past few months, the staff of the
University of Evansville's radio station have been playing with several
teleconferencing and communications solutions including Kolban WebCam 32,
Microsoft NetMeeting and NetShow, and the RealAudio G2 protocol. I'm sure
with access to a dedicated machine running Microsoft Windows 98 or NT, one
of these solutions could provide many different services to both
convention attendees and those who are unable to make the conference.
If there is anything we at the University of Evansville, either through
our Alpha Phi Omega chapter, the WUEV Internet center, or both can do to
help or advise on this matter, please let us know.
