No. If I remember correctly, we started around 3:30am in Houston in
1986 -- and there were more candidates and the time limits for
speaking weren't as strictly enforced. One candidate came in and spent
20 minutes telling a completely irrelevent story about his visit to
one of the chapters in our region 3 years earlier -- then he started a
fairly long candidate's speach. I don't remember when we ended, but it
was much later than this year.
