i feel i must explain myself a bit. I am (was) a new brother this
semester. Even though i've been on apo-l since the summer, i am very
new to many of the issues being presented at the convention. i am
nontheless a voting delegate of my chapter-i do have the most comm and
have the most knowledge of the frat on a national level. i was in charge
of presenting the issue of the toast song to my brotherhood (i was
personally asked). and i subsequently, had to research the issue-thus
posting the question on apo-l. if my chapter gets subpoenaed i will be
the one who must explain himself.
i felt, and still do feel, that it is my duty-to my chapter and to my
fraternity, to find out what i could (if i didn't then what kind of
decisions could i make or opinions could i have?) i try to do what is in
the best interests of both--if that means taking action at the convention
on either side of the issue (whatever that may be-i'm sure you can figure
it out)--either way i need to know if what we proposed is right or wrong
(however that may be interpreted) i do not take this issue lightly-i plan
on discussing it further with my chapter well until the actual legislation
session.
but until then...
