Special congratulations to two Brothers for receiving the Lambda Omicron
Chapter's Distinguished Service Key at their banquet Saturday night. With one
of the most rigid and formal policies of any chapter in the nation, a Lambda
Omicron key carries special merit. The plaque which will now bear their names
notes -- "For unselfish service of the highest caliber, we bestow this our
foremost distinction."
The Fall 1998 recipients were
Brother David R. Keely -- formerly chapter Membership VP, President, and
Section 61 Chair
Brother Daniel Torisky -- honorary member and President of the American Autism
Society
In the chapter's 43 year history, less than 30 of the keys have been given; as
someone who has known both of these fine gentlemen for over ten years, I am
proud as much of them as of my home chapter for continuing to honor people who
truly display excellence!! Their policy makes it tough to award, but their
integrity makes it happen whenever and for whomever "Distinguished Service" is
aptly descriptive.
