Brothers,
On behalf of all members, I wish to announce that The Beta Pi
Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega will be rechartering this Sunday, December
6th at 2 pm in the Faculty Study, 3rd Floor, McFarlin Library.
Afterward we will be heading over to Tulsa's Full Moon Cafe for a
celebration dinner.
If you just happen to be in the area here are the directions:
From I-244 (east and westbound)
1. Take the Delaware exit and turn south (right if
taking 244 East, left if taking 244 West).
2. Head south until you reach 8th street. Turn East
(left). There will be Twin Towers parking lot and Residence
Hall immediately to your left, the old Kendall Elem.
School to your right, and a parking lot ahead and to the
left.
3. Continue east past Shaw Alumni Center until you
come to 8th and College (roughly 2 blocks due east of
Delaware). There are parking lots there. Park your
vehicle.
4. Looking North along College you will see Sharp
Chapel. The Chapel is situated just beyond where College dead
ends. McFarlin Library is just to the North and across Sharp
Plaza from the Chapel. Kendall Hall is on the East end of the
Plaza.
5. There are two entrances to McFarlin. The one to
the left is at the reference desk and is the easier entrance if
you don't have a student ID. From there take the elevator up
to 3. The other entrance is at the computer lab. If the ID
scanner is turned off, just enter; take the stairs immediately
to your left, and go up one flight. Enter the corridor on 3
and go to the left up the 1/2 flight of stairs. The faculty
study will be on the left.
The ceremony will be conducted by the Chris Stockdale, Section
32 Chair; Terry Rafsauge (sp?), Region IX Director; plus actives and
alumni of the Delta Beta and Theta Sigma Chapters. These brothers will
be arriving roughly about an hour before the ceremony to prepare the
room, should you decide you want to meet them.
For those of you early birds who really want to see the chapter
in a less formal setting, we will be conducting our Chapter Program
Planning Conference at 9 am in the basement/rec room of John Mabee Hall.
We apologize for such short notice. My deepest apologies if
I've totally confused you with my directions to get here. And we all
hope you can attend.
Yours in Brotherhood,
Phil Dore
Alumni Secretary - Beta Pi Chapter
Alumnus - Gamma Gamma Chapter ('96)
