Brothers,
I sent this message out to all chapters in Virginia just because it's within
my immediate sphere of influence, but I want to call out to the whole
Fraternity to support relief efforts for the hurricane victims in Honduras,
Nicaragua, and Central America. The Red Cross will need help gathering items
not unlike the ones listed below, not to mention medicines, bleach for water
purification, toiletries, and necessities. If you have questions, please
contact me privately.

Brothers,
Hurricane Mitch left many families homeless and with literally nothing but
the clothes on their backs. A Brother of ours has an aunt, uncle, and
cousins in this very situation. Please look around your homes and ask friends
if they have clothes in these sizes for this Honduran family. The need
extends beyond this family, so anything you can provide along the lines of
basic necessities would be helpful also. Don't be surprised if I or another
Brother from Alpha Delta Iota chapter asks again in the next week or so. Look
outside of family and friends, as well. Ask in your classes and get other
organizations involved!
If you have questions, e-mail me at lpambid@saturn.vcu.edu (804.828.8679) or
Linda Cerrato at linda@vcu.org
Alpha Delta Delta: Hi guys. Linda lives in Northern Virginia, so do you guys
think it would be possible to collect a few things for this family for
starters? She can pick them up from a designee as well. Like I said, she's
packing stuff this weekend.
Omicron Phi: Hey there. Can I come by Wednesday night to make a brief
presentation?
Alpha Beta Omega: Joe, I will be in Norfolk the weekend of 13-14 Nov for
Marine Corps drill. Do you think something can be organized to get a few
necessities that I can pick up?
Nu Rho and Alpha Delta Xi: You guys getting the picture? Since you guys are
so close together, can you collaborate and I'll make a pickup on a Tuesday
night in Williamsburg?
Theta and Chi Gamma: The need also extends beyond the immediate. As hosts of
the Section 83 Conference, we'll be coming around to advertise and answer
questions. We can arrange then to pick up items that you have collected.
Section 81: Jamie, any ideas on how to get mighty 81 involved?
