I think the whole point of Honorary Membership is to initiate someone
into the brotherhood that has already exemplified a high standard of
service, and seeing as how they have already shown the right ideas of
service should, "pre-qualify," them for initiation (in a sense).  The
pledging program is not only meant to educate the pledges about the
fraternity, but also to train them in areas of service as well, so it
would probably not be necessary for most Honorary Candidates/Brothers.
 I think it would be a good idea for them to know something about the
organization, so I think it would be a good idea to give them a copy
of the pledge manual so that they know what we are all about.
