Most (but not all) of the chapters that I have seen have some sort of
office, or a place on campus where they can congregate.  These are
offices are used by the chapter, but are physically, "owned," by the
university which grants recognition to the chapter.  I have yet to see
one chapter that has funded the construction of an office building, or
pays rent for an office off-campus.  I am assuming also that most
chapters do not have the budget for this.

So, I would be willing to bet that the only real building that the
fraternity as a whole has any ownership in is the National Office in
Independence, MO.
