My thoughts about legislation (where for the convention or legislation =
in general) essentially focus around this notion: quantity isn't as =
important as quality. Just because the R3 director and staff submitted =
so much isn't the important thing - if none of the legislation they =
submitted is any good, submitting all of it is pointless. (I'm not =
saying that's the case here.) Alot of the legislation they submitted =
deal with technical matters, so that's good.

My only concern is the amount of legislation submitted by non-active =
members (sectional and regional staff, alumni, and stuff from national =
committees.) I s'pose, and this is only my preference, that I would =
prefer most legislation to come from chapters and/or active members. I =
know that on many issues, such as regional realignment, etc., a great =
deal of experience and fraternal knowledge is necessary.

I hope John (Grossi) and others didn't take my comments as critical of =
the Region III Director and staff; I really was only trying to be =
sarcastic (it was WAY late for me.)

:-)

Mark
