This is primarily to the alumni that keep repeating the same points on
this matter -
Why don't we stay out of this and let the current group of active members
make up their minds? There are people arguing here who haven't been
active for 20+ years, and are rather unlikely to become active prior to
Nationals.
This is a fraternity run by its active members, not by its alumni. We
had our say in things when we were active, and now that we are active no
longer, it's time to back off and support the active members in their
decisions, rather than trying to make their decisions for them.
