tape errors on hodge's TZK08 (8 mm drive)

Yesterday's uerf log for hodge shows three hard errors on the tape
drive (for "SPACE", "WRITE FILEMARKS", and "WRITE"). I'm not sure if
this was at the time of the AFS backup, and I don't see any indication
that the AFS backup software reported errors.
This may well be just a tape-media problem. On the off chance that
it's a problem with the drive hardware, that might come up again, I
copied the text from the uerf log into
/afs/sipb/project/office-machines/hodge/var/adm/syserr/uerf-tape-errors
