It seems pretty likely now that no one in SIPB has any interest in
keeping these online in the sipb cell:

project.butler (except the source), project.dvi2ps, project.machines,
project.newwebster, project.num_anal, project.openwin.nb,
project.pcomm, project.sipbsrc.next.nb, project.sumacc,
project.tss.readonly, project.xgraph

I just set most of the acls to:

  system:gsipbbin la
  system:administrators rla

If any users report problems getting to these, try to find out whether
they are actually relying on stuff there, or they just happen to have
'ls -l /afs/sipb/project' in their dotfiles (or whatever). Unless they
obviously don't need access, please go ahead and add system:anyuser rl
to whatever directories they want, and send mail to sipb-afsreq so
people know the volume (probably) shouldn't be removed.

I'll wait until early in November, then make a tape backup and remove
the volumes.

(The other changes I mentioned in my mail October 9 are also done; I
sent mail only to sipb-afsreq on this, though.)

Matt
