Actually,
vos syncvldb
does not claim that it will ever delete entries from the VLDB.
To do this, you must use:
vos syncserv
A common usage is:
vos syncvldb <server> ; vos syncserv <server>
This is actually documented in the "real" manuals...
Now, my other question is what "vos" binary were you running?
