I have been occasionally using quuiche as a display for rosebud. This
often involved running an xterm and an emacs from the machine. The
times are O(n) close enough for the two to be connected.

   Suggestions?

Don't.

Telnet to rosebud using quiche's terminal windows, and work that way.
It *may* be safe to run emacs in X mode once you're connected to
rosebud, but the problem with that is that the pty's that emacs grabs
in certain situations may be screwed up the same way xterm screws up
things.

Rosebud is meant to be a fileserver and a build engine. You should
not need to run xterm or emacs to fix AFS problems or to build
programs. You should not be using rosebud for anything else.

Alternatively, you can track down the but that's causing all of this
trouble and fix it. :-)
