What version of the backup software are we running on hodge? I think
I may have found a bug, and I want to make sure we are running the
newest stuff before querying info-afs@transarc. I did the backup
tonight, and did some investigation on the failed volumes:
admin.backup 536871763 BK 5 K On-line
project.backup 536871737 BK 36 K On-line
project.sipbsrc.backup 536870938 BK 96706 K On-line
service.backup 536871740 BK 9288 K On-line
system.backup 536871728 BK 4 K On-line
system.xdm.backup 536871730 BK 27 K On-line
user.backup 536871738 BK 169 K On-line
When you do "dump" in backup, it prints the list of volumes it's going
to backup (look at /afs/sipb/project/exadump/backup.910325).
Apparently, if the volume is listed twice, it fails one of the times.
The volumes above, and only those, are listed twice. They succeeded
once, and failed once. So, the good news is that the volumes have
been backed up, so that's not anything to worry about.
So, does anybody know why backup is getting confused?
