More info. Thanks to Ken Raeburn (since I can't read the afs
source), that error is:

Why aren't the clients using com_err's error_message() function?
Now, what does that mean? Is the backup a complete loss, or shouldn't
I worry? backup enumtape says that all the volumes which should be
there are.
