I've restored project.www as of 03/04/96 21:49 as project.www.restore
from last week's DLT backup. Please send mail to sipb-afsreq when
this volume can be deleted.
For those of you who are wondering why I cc'd this to such a wide
audience, it's because this is the first time we've tried to restore
from the DLT backup, it worked just fine, and people have been asking
if we'd tried a restore. The total time to restore this volume (once
I got all the arguments right) was only 10 minutes. It took about 1.5
minutes to seek to the right point on the tape (about 1/3 of the way
into the backup), and the rest of the time was spent reading the data
off the tape.
