I created this volume to hold new versions of syslog that are intended
to fix the buffer-overrun problem. Currently it has the soscorp
libnewlog package from ftp://ftp.cs.columbia.edu/pub/sos/lib. The idea
is for any programs (or, at least, statically linked programs) that
can call syslog with long string arguments (e.g., > 1024 characters)
to be linked with /afs/sipb/project/syslog/arch/@sys/lib/libnewlog.a.
I hope to eventually have this built for all SIPB server platforms:
sun4m_412, pmax_ul4, and (of course) rt_aos4. It is currently only
built for sun4m_412. Source code is in the top-level src directory.
