Between midnight and about 1:15am, Tom and I added 1GB disks to
ronald-ann.mit.edu and bloom-picayune.mit.edu.
ronald-ann's new disk (SCSI ID 4) is operating as ronald-ann:/vicepd.
Tom created disk.ronald-ann.d, mounted it in
/afs/sipb/service/partitions, and has migrated some volumes to that
disk from other partitions.
picayune's new disk (SCSI ID 0) is mounted as /u2, and now contains
the discuss meetings /u2/discuss. I have not moved /slush/nfs to
/u2/nfs, and will do that later; I also have not deleted
/slush/discuss, but instead (in a fit of paranoia) moved it to
/slush/discuss-delete-soon.
Shutting-down issue: no one was around who knew how to announce to IRC
users that irc.mit.edu was going down for a while. This is a problem.
