I think that a section describing how to maintain a service should not
try too hard to be "non-highly-technical".  One should not be
gratuitously obscure, but softening the language will usually make it
less accurate, making it harder for someone technical to use it, and
not making it any more useful for the less technical.  (None of this
applies to the sections describing what the services are, only the
ones on how to maintain them.)

Since I don't have time to actually write anything, I'll shut up now
