Ok, Tom, just how did you manage to break in to the vault?

I most recently brought tapes to building 11 to be stored in the vault
last Wednesday. As far as I know, they should still be there. The afs
tapes don't all have unique numbers, so even if you have 12 different
tapes in the office, that doesn't mean there aren't more somewhere
else. It might be a good idea to assign unique numbers (e.g., "rosebud
2.3") or mark old tapes with something like "old archive tape -- may
still be readable, do not discard without overwriting" or whatever.
