		  Strike Continues On Technicality

Due to a minor technicality, the contract signed by both the
unionists and the business men cannot be validated without the
signature of the representative from Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
It's been said that Mr. Bernoulli stated at the meeting that he agreed
to the contract, but his signature must appear on it for it to take
effect. It is believed that this requirement slipped Bernoulli's
mind.

The news of this obstruction to the end of the strike came as
a major surprise to Julio Santiago, who was quoted mere minutes
earlier as saying "The strike is over" when confronted with the
question. After conferring with his associates, he quickly recanted
and ran off, presumably in an attempt to quickly find Bernoulli.
After the strike is declared over, "it will still take a couple days
for the docks to get back up to speed," Santiago stated in an earlier
interview.

		      Angelique Blanc Murdered!!
		     Richard the Amazing Wounded

Tonight after the preview of the circus act, Richard the
Amazing came stumbling into the room apparently bruised and
startled. When Sheriff Reginald Dulac went searching the stair well,
he discovered the body of Angelique Blanc, former Hotel owner. After
receiving medical attention, the magician was revived and is now in
good health. The murderer of Angelique has yet to be apprehended and
details will be forthcoming as we receive them.

Curiously enough, Angelique was the audience member chosen for
Richard's disappearing act. When Mr. the Amazing was finally revived,
he remarked, "The monkey, the damn monkey" several times, but so far,
the monkey has not been apprehnded and its owner has not been
questioned.
