THough transitions between stocks and jail is "kludge time," where you
can't break the person free, transit between stocks and gallows is normal
in-game reality. (note: this means that if you're goign to be hanged,,
you should show up at the appropriate time in the gallows and the law
--argh, scratch that--in the ***STOCKS*** and the law people should
deal with getting you to the gallows. (note--law and condemned
players, work out the timing between yourselves)
