The Miyoshans have been pounding the wall relentlessly, and have taken the
wall in numerous places. So far, only scattered handfuls have made it into
the city itself.
The Lancers of House Ista charged the enemy during the first stages of
the battle, and rescued the Academy Upperclassmen who were trapped
outside the city. One of the lancer units sacrificed itself in a
glourious charge which destroyed an enemy unit and opened the path for
the Academy students to enter the city. The other unit escorted the
Academy students through heavy fire back to the walls, then sacrificed
itself trying to destroy fresh Miyoshan troops which had reached the
walls.
The Pheonix Cavaliers have been doing a small ammount of damage to an
enemy unit, but have not taken any damage in return.
The Istashai Guard has not yet seen combat, since the Miyoshans have
been afraid to come near it, so it has been foraging for the supplies
our other troops so badly need. It has now moved into a position to
attack, and should see its first combat shortly.
The forces from Keratt have destroyed two Miyoshan units and seriously
crippled three others. All Kerattian units are still in fighting condition
and only one has suffered any casualties at all.
The Tharin Irregulars have defended the wall near Hurcheon Lane and have
as of this writing destroyed a troop of Miyoshan Pikeman near
Griffin's Charge.
The Giron Guard are holding the wall well. The section of the wall they are
holding up is being cleared of the Miyoshans, and most are moving away. One
unit, the Giron Longbowmen (MT61), has killed over 113 enemies by itself,
killed one Miyoshan unit (MA130), and would have killed another (MA131) had
those cowards not run away. One unit, one of the Upperclassmen of the Academy
(AQ48), has unfortunately perished in order to cover the retreat of two other
units back to the Wall. Their sacrifice will be remembered.
The Wayyamen units are the wedge sitting between two of the Miyoshan breaches,
and have managed to force the Miyoshans out of the hottly contested Unicorn
Avenue. For the loss of approximately twenty men altogether, they have
given the lives of one hundred and seventy-two of the Miyoshans to the
land, taken the strength from six units, forced two units to abandon the
field, and come close to closing at least one of the breaches.
The Foleve Irregulars held Unicorn Avenue against a massive miyoshan assult
of over three times their numbers for over a day, until the weight of numbers
overwhelmed them. Before they died, they inflicted serious losses on the
attackers.
All of the defenders have done a miraculous job, although details on their
accomplishments and heroics are not known to this particular messenger at this
time.
