This is an official notice, which has been announced throughout Ankara
today:
************** OFFICIAL NOTICE, U.S. GOVERNMENT ****************
Due to the rumor circulating through the city concerning the
possible non-existance of one of our agencies, that agency has
decided to publicly re-affirm its existance.
The United States Bureau of Home Furnishings is the branch of
the U.S. Government that deals with the inspection of imported
and exported furniture for the "DO NOT REMOVE" tags. There is a
representative of the Bureau stationed in each and every city
around the world that imports or exports above a certain level
of furniture.
The Ankara Branch Office of the USBHF currently is based out of
the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. The contact person there is Agent
Marvin Erwin.
