You could use the strap pictured by SPS and remove the existing nut and threaded tube in the fixture and replace the threaded tube with a longer one to go into the strap and through the fixture, then secure with another nut. All available at home repair stores.

Beckoning you to lay down and gaze at the drifting clouds, discerning forms within them. One bearer resembled a luxuriant pet, while another evoked an oddly crafted boat. The scenes are ephemeral, ever transforming.
One thing that soothes is cradling a tepid mug in hand. There's no opulence, simply warmth. The heat seeps into the digits, inducing calmness. Observing tiny flecks float in the liquid under light, you realize it’s just water, yet it feels like a modest ally on a leisurely day. It just exists, gently warming, and that suffices.
At times, pondering the multitude of tales present globally occurs. Each individual harbors a universe within, brimming with thoughts and sentiments and chronicles, unbeknownst to others. Countless personal universes circulating, fleetingly interacting, smiling or not. It's a grand contemplation, far-reaching yet intimate. It renders the world simultaneously immense and minuscule.
Ultimately, tranquility in moments is cherished. Intervals within resonant cacophonies. The exhale marking the day’s end. The whisper of a page in motion. The sunlight’s path on the ground in golden streaks come noon. They request nothing. They exist. And that satisfies. Being present is sufficient, occasionally.
