There is a new new Economy Greensheet in the control room.
It's hard to completely explain without reading the sheet so
here it is:

\section{The World Market}
Thanks to the Federation, there is really only one stock market, on
which are all the major companies of the world. This means there are
billions of transactions going on at all times. However - the uplink
on the moon only updates these once a day, so the stock prices will be
updated once a day.
\section{The Prize}
At this point, there are two types of corporations involved in market
trade. Corporations, and MEGACorporations. The only difference
between these two is size. Unfortunately, because of the viscious
competitive buying up of companies and dumping stock - there are only
4 notable Corporations, on the edge of becoming MEGACorps. They are
Novel Corp., Erber Corp., Burns and Korrozon Corp., and The Sharper
Man Corp. The one which has the highest volume at the end of these
ten days, will become a MEGACorp and survive, probably going on to
take over the other three.
\section{Business Expenses}
In order to get things done, you're going to need money. Each company
has budgeted you a certain amount of money which is related to the
stock price and size of the company at a given time
(Volume(in Mils) * Stock price). The executive gets this
much money each day and should distribute it how he feels fit.
(Each day (days end at noon) the executive should come get money out
of the folder marked Business Expenses (and mark their character name
down on the sheet of paper and the date/time)
\subsection{Contracts}
Corporations need to make money somehow. In this case, it's through
Contracts. Contracts are spiffy things that can only get done with
the help of a patron corporation. Some people and places(The Web,
Datastores) have these. Once you become the patron corporation, you
have a time limit to get all the things done on the sheet, sometimes
requireing help of certain Metacorps. Once you have finished the
contract, it will change the stats of a company up as marked for the
next day. There also may be monetary bonuses involved too. A corp
can be on a multiple Contracts at a time, but only two corps per Contract
maximum. First one to complete the list and the last step, gets the benefi
\section{The Tools}
\subsection{Legal}
Each company can also do things ingame to affect its stock price and
volume. Getting endorsements in the media helps; so do major
politicans giving grants, etc. Be inventive. When you do something
you thing might be notable, put it in the folder marked Media.
\subsection{The Metacorps}
Each company has also survived for so long and prospered where others
faltered by forging a positive relationship with a Metacorp. One such
Metacorp is the Mafia, however - unlike the others, they have not made
a longtime relationship with any one company.
Metacorps are able to affect the market by using the influence they
have gained through the time-tested method of manipulation. Each
Metacorp has a fixed number of influence points per day. When a
Metacorp takes an action on behalf of a Corporation, write what you
did, place it in the ``Economy'' folder in THE BOX, and decrement your
group's influence for that day accordingly. In return for favors, the
Metacorps will gladly help the Corporations in their struggle to
survive.
\section{Buying and Selling Stock}
\subsection{Personal}
If you are interested personally with diddling with the stock market,
it's quite easy. Just leave a note(and the appropriate amount of money)
in the Economy folder if you are buying, or leave a note and take the amount
of money you get.
\subsection{Corporation}
Corporations are much the same as Personal for stock. However the money that
is moved around is put in an account that noone can widthdraw from game. Each
group has a percentage of the stock, and buying and selling it is done in
percentages. The percentage that a major group has does not change when the volume
changes(for a kludge reason). When you buy stock, it must be from the
free market if not from another individual/group(with their consent). Any group
that has more than 50% has control of the company.
\section{Market Breakdown}
If at any day, all stocks reach a price of 1 and a volume of 1, the
market will close and not reopen until all prices and volumes are above
1. The market closed just means that stock cannot be moved around on
a personal and corporate basis. The Metacorps are the only ones who
can modify the market then.
