Hello,
I have a small sample program uses X calls. This program does not
works with pthreads. The program works fine getting users mouse clicks
etc., with out threads. The problem is as follows.
I am using FreeBSD2.2.5 and X11R6 on an intel pentium system.
First I used pthreads provided by FreeBSD. In this case the Xserver
exits with an undefined error as follows.
XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Undefined error: 0) on X server ":0.0"
after 22 requests (8 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
Next I down loaded pthreads from MIT and compiled and installed on my
FreeBSD2.2.5 the ran my application. In this case it will not display
any error message but exits silently. My debugging results was like this.
The X-window is not waiting for any events (IO) from the users. I am not
sure how I should go about programming this.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and Regards,
