I'm trying to install pthreads on my linux machine. I could not find a
guide to installation. My version is 1_51_0. I've untarred the package in
my home dir. Then I ran configure whereafter I ran make -f GNUmakefile.
It compiled fine upto fd_kern.c where it complained about creat. I
suspect it clashes with the std c lib's creat. I could get everything to
compile and make the library by renaming creat to zcreat but this
obviously renders the package obsolete for the std creat will now be used
and not the package's creat. Could you point me to a solution for this
problem.
Where can I find the latest version of the software and documentation ?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
