The release announcement for 1_60beta4 (now 1_60beta4_1) was sent out
last Friday and got lost in the mail because I broke the mailing list
last week. I've since fixed the list and have been working on more bug
reports. Anyway beta4 is mostly bug fixes and lots of them, but if I
haven't repsonded to your bug report yet then I probably haven't fixed
it yet. I'll get to them.
Currently beta4_1 runs on the following hardware/OS. I have compiled it
and run the test suite of these platforms.
i386 : FreeBSD-2.1, NetBSD-1.0A, Linux-1.2 and linux-1.3
sparc : SunOS-4.1.3, Solaris-2.3, Solaris-2.4
r2000 : Ultrix-4.2
sgi : Irix-5.2 (Docs say 5.3 but it's really 5.2)
alpha : OSF-2.1
It should run but have not tested it on
i386 : FreeBSD-2.0, FreeBSD-2.0.5, NetBSD-1.0
I have some patches for BSDi which I'll incorporate, but I can't test them.
I have access to an hppa HPUX-9.03 system now so I'll put the final touches
on that port.
For those with access to AFS, the tree has changed some. The 1_60beta is
compiled in /afs/sipb/project/pthreads/stable. The current tree is now
for what will be 1_70 and I make no claims that anything in it works yet.
