X11 and pthreads

Hi,
I write a client-server application which needs an X11 interface. The X11
functions are only called by one thread. the other threads do no X11
things. I want to know if I'll get problems with the X11 libs because
they are not linked against threadsafe functions. For example a non X11
thread do a malloc (from the pthreads library) and the X11 thread
allocate memory with a non threadsafe malloc.
