I think I will just cancel the thread and let the timer start a new one.
(The idea of pushing a cleanup handler that respawns is cute, tho. :-)
If this proves too inefficient I'll probably use timedread and write
my own with select() if running on DDCE threads.
Just for clarification: I'm writing a multi-threaded web server that
will do both TCP and the DCE-Web protocol (old and new one). I want
to timeout clients after a 30 minutes or so, dropping the connection.
Initially, my "market" is DCE threads, Chris's threads, and whatever
happens to be bundled with Solaris these days.
