Today, Greg talked about the Alpha-EV. "What does the EV stand for?"
he asked. "Well, the marketing types will try to tell you that it
stands for something like 'Enhanced Vax.' However, we know better.
It really stands for 'Electro-Velasic.'"
At this point he plops a pickle onto a glass dish and sticks a fork
in either end. He then wires the forks to the wall socket and turns
the power on. This produces a rather spactacular show as all the
sodium in the pickle gives off copious amounts of orangish light.
