Haldeman again

In Tuesday's class, H. lectured on "transitions", i.e., what do you
write to move smoothly from scene n to scene n+1? The most common
means, he said, is to simply use a blank line. Many writers will
write in their manuscripts PUT ONE BLANK LINE HERE to make sure that
the typesetters do the right thing.

In one of Harry (_The Stainless Steel Rat_) Harrison's novels, this
note was included verbatim in the printed copy.

One student asked, did anyone ever write a novel about typesetters?
H. replied, "Who would dare?"

(rlcarr: if you really want me to, I can ask the guy what the end of
_The Hemingway Hoax_ means, although I doubt he'll provide an answer.)
