Yes, he has been doing things like that for *years*. Particularly notable
are incidents where he called someone from 1/2 way back in 26-100 up to
explain a comment she made (Prof. Mattuck apparently has exceedingly
sensitive hearing, which makes him very sensitive to crowd noise.)
Prof. Hartley Rogers also flamed freshman classes about noise levels,
but I never heard a similar defense for him (then again, freshman
classes *are* noisy :-)
