NetBSD 1.1 has an Adaptec 2940 driver. We have a 2940 on a machine in
the SIPB office with a 4GB disk on it,and it seems to be working fine.
(This machine is running -current, so there's a possibility that
you'll have to run -current to take advantage of the 2940, but I'm
pretty sure that the driver was working as of the 1.1 release.)
