problem logging in

Hi,
I'm having problems logging in. It keeps telling me that it can't attach my
home directory and it gives me the following error in my console:
17:14 Bad version number in /var/tmp/attachtab
17:14 Operation aborted
Do you know what's wrong? I am using the xlogin.
