Actually, the two problems are rather different.
pocky's problem was related to vt not behaving correctly with his
keyboard (could be BIOS related). A new kernel fixed that, though
I'm not sure what in particular. Pocky's X problem has nothign to do
with the keyboard, but the probing and the math is weird.

as for davidz's problem, I don't have the slightest, but I doubt it's
related to the fact he's using 8 megs.
