some courier fonts munged?

Hi,
I'm using the X11R6 off AFS for NetBSD. I've noticed (because Netscape
uses them) that some of the 75 dpi Courier fonts look messed up -- legible,
but not as they should be. I see this if I start up an xterm with either
of these two fonts:
-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-m-70-iso8859-1
-adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--14-140-75-75-m-90-iso8859-1
Does anyone else see this behavior?
