Hello,
I just tried out the 1.1 installation kernel in
/mit/netbsd/release/netbsd-1.1/i386/floppies/nfsother.fs, and it hangs my
machine after detecting my network adapter. I have a Novell NE2000 set up
for IRQ 10 and port 0x300. What happens is everything works fine until
the lines "ed*: detected.... bla bla". I end up getting three cards
detected, and only one of them is correct. Then the machine just stops
working.
aellwood suggested on the netbsd instance that I ask for a custom
kernel with only ed8 @ irq 10 port 0x300 , so that's what I'm doing now.
If anybody could do this I would greatly appreciate it. While this is
going on, could my kernel also have securelevel set to -1 so my ATI
video card will work? (I think jhawk and ghudson have seen this
before).
thanks,
Edwin
