Network outages

I can seldom get a telnet (or www) connection to several sites this morning.
(polys.mit.edu, ringworld.mit.edu, pesto.mit.edu, (and every other MIT site
I've tried) and also splogin.tc.cornell.edu) When I do get a connection
(only to Cornell) I lose it pretty quickly. Do you know if this is another
network problem outside MIT, or two seperate things at MIT and Cornell?

P.S. Sorry this is probably to the wrong list, but I can't get to a web
server or anything that clues me in as to what mailing lists there are.
Also, please reply to this address, since I can't get to my athena account.
