okay, I don' know vtwm well enough to help you program it,
but if you want to stop the virtual X display scrolling,
you need to edit your /etc/XF86Config.
somewhere neer the end, there is a definition for Displays, that will
have multiple entries like:
Subsection "Display"
Depth 8
Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
ViewPort 0 0
Virtual 1280 1024
EndSubsection
make sure the Virtual entry matches the first entry in the Modes, and
isn't any bigger. This will stop the scrolling-with-the-mouse.
It is in general a bad idea to have accounts on your machine that match
to other people's accounts anyway (it can lead to some security problems
if you're not very careful). I also noticed in your mail you had:
derek::10:101:....
there shouldn't be a double colon after the username no matter what. there
should be a * or a string that is the hashed password. The '*' should be used
for kerberized accounts.
man 5 passwd
to find out about all the other entries in there.
(sorry I don't know much about vtwm...)
