okay.. the pci0 stuff you go is the kernel knowing there is something
there, but not what it is or how to deal with it.
if elsewhere, you also saw any of : ep?, ed?, eg?, el?, ie?, le?, de?
(where ? is a number)
then it has found your card AND has something to associate with it.
the 3c509 usually goes under ep?, but if you don't see that, then the
kernel doesn't see that. If the card can emulate the 3c509 perfectly,
then ep? would see it (check for DIP switches or software configuration
that might put it in 3c509 mode). As it lives off the PCI bus however,
I really doubt the 3c509 code in the kernel will notice it.
if it is very similar to the 3c509 however, it is possible that some
future release of -current will have the code necessary, as it probably
will not involve too much work.
again, I would wait for confirmation from somebody who is VERY familiar with
the i386 netbsd port (who should be online at some point soon, and will be
able to comment).
