Hi.. by 're-installing the system' do you mean you re-installed
from scratch?  I don't actually know what state the tarballs
are in, but I think they are stable.

  did it crash as soon as it booted? or did it work for a while
and then decided to die? presumably, if you didn't try to run
anything when it crashed, it's a kernel problem (in fact, no
program should do that, but things like modload can).

  We should wait to find out if somebody created a new BT kernel
recently...
