something wrong with kerberos/attach or something

I just came back from being away this weekend, and when I tried to log onto
my netbsd machine, I can't properly get kerberos tickets. When I try to
log in as sdfranks, it just says something like:
23:57 aklog: Couldn't get athena.mit.edu AFS tickets: Retry count exceeded (send_to_kdc)
and then it says it can't attach home directory. When I log in as root it goes
ok and I can kinit for tickets, but when I try to attach a directory it
gives me this:
aklog: Couldn't get athena.mit.edu AFS tickets: Retry count exceeded (send_to_kc)
Error while subscribing: Kerberos error: Can't send request
I don't think I changed anything. What could have caused this?
