problem about Xess..

Hi,
I found a problem when I use Xess in NetBSD. I have a data file
called "ppout2" in my Public directory. I use Xess, select the "Import"
under "File", change the File Format from "Text" to be "Comma Separated
Values", in Selection box keyin this filename, then it will put in the
spreadsheet. Then, under "Edit", select "Select All".
Then, under the "Graph", select the "Line Graph" in the "New
Graph", then, I got an error mesasge:
Error: Cannot perform malloc
And Xess crashed.
Please check this and give me any advice about how to fix it.
