From: ray@MIT.EDU To: netbsd-help@MIT.EDU Date: Thu, 31 Aug 1995 15:29:20 EDT Yeah, the new boot floppy I made worked, but now, booteasy is not working. When I boot, it displays F1 DOS and F3 NetBSD, but when I press F3, it doesn't respond. Also when I press F2, it hangs up. F1 works fine though. I did accidentally leave the install disk in after installing, halting and rebooting, so it began another reinstall, but I stopped it when it asked me if I wanted to rewrite over the existing NetBSD partition (which I had just made). So, I don't think this is affecting booteasy. I ran bootinst again, and it displayed that the NetBSD partition could not boot, but the DOS primary partition could. So, I ran pfdisk and set the NetBSD partition to be active (is that right?), but when I ran fdisk, I saw that the DOS partition was not activated, so I used fdisk to activate the DOS partition. Then, I ran bootinst again, this time following through with the installation of booteasy. Now, when I run bootinst, it still says that the NetBSD partition can't boot. How can I get it to boot? Has booteasy been revised recently?
