Are you using the 3C509 with UTP? It's a known problem that NetBSD
can't configure the 3C509 in UTP mode... but I didn't think that would
cause a problem if the card was already configured.
I'd like to take a look at this problem; can I come watch it
happening? (I can also get past that point in the installation
process by manually configuring the ethernet address, but that's
mildly difficult to explain how to do over email.)
