fingerd trouble

Hello. I've been getting messages like this lately from my fingerd whenever
anyone fingers my machine:
fooworld inetd [495]: getpwnam: nobody : no such user
even when just typing finger @fooworld or finger username@fooworld where
username is a valid username. I can't figure out why it's not working.
Also, is there a way to log fingers, FTP, and telnet access to my machine?
I would like to know the date, time and IP address or name of machines
that tried any of those three things.
